What you need to know!
I'm Graeme Churchard, retired geologist and keen photographer. I live in Bristol, UK, with my wife Christine
I have a couple of blog sites. The most recent is Graeme's New Blog which is kept up to date when I get round to it and Graeme's Blog which has links to older stuff including our trip round the world in 2010/11.
My first blog was written a long time ago and was about a walk in the Auvergne, France, with my son when he was 12 years old. It can be found HERE but beware, the links on the right do not work! The blog has changed hosts several times and the links have become detached somewhere along the way!
Me and my wife have recently returned from a trip to the western USA.
The first part of the trip was as part of a geological excursion organised by WEGA (the West of England group of the Geologists' Association), starting in Phoenix, Arizona and ending in Las Vegas, Nevada. Between the end points we visited the Grand Canyon, Canyon de Chelly, Mesa Verde, Bryce Canyon and many other places.
The second part of the trip was on our own. Chris and I flew to Salt Lake City and then drove to Denver via Yellowstone, Dinosaur National Monument and the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Both parts allowed us to see spectacular geology and scenery.
Flat Tops Trail, Colorado. Meeker to Yampa.
